My New Mirra Chair – Yo!

My New Mirra Chair – Yo!

My new Mirra chair arrived today while I was out to lunch. (No, not the wine this time, actually ‘out to lunch!’) Thank goodness my landlord was working downstairs (thanks Frank!) and let this sweet guy in with this amazing chair.

The chair is magic!

I have adjusted it one time only… fully understanding that we will be tweaking everything a bit moving forward because there are just so many cool options!

I opted in the first instance for a tension level that allows me to almost ‘float’ in the chair most of the time, fully supported as I lean forward to take a closer look at something, but also delimiting me backwards at a reasonable level of recline.

Never had the ability to make a chair do this before, so we’ll see. (The only thing I can’t find is the button to adjust the width of the armrests… but they are fine the way they are.)

MIrra2.2The experience of purchasing this chair was also remarkable. ‘Bow’ was my salesman’s name, which immediately had me fantasizing about the deep south where ‘a young lady could never have too many beaus’. (Not the same kind of beau I’m sure ;)

At any rate, Bow turns out to be that rare find in the commercial world, an individual who cares and is paying attention. These qualities, even when found separately, are remarkable, when found together they are gold.

I do not hesitate to recommend Bow and his company, Business Interiors in Mississauga (contact me) for anyone wanting a Herman Miller chair at the best possible price and delivered to boot! (I paid a little more than half the usually quoted price for a ‘fully loaded’ chair.)

But it gets better.

After providing such a good price and delivery options, Bow came through when there was a screw-up with the delivery by personally delivering the chair this afternoon in his own Jeep!

(I just straightened up and leaned over, after sitting in the chair for a couple of hours, and heard/felt that little popping sound/feeling in my lower spine, like the sound/feeling you get with a good chiropractic adjustment. Wow!)

Subjectively, it feels like a lot of stuff is up in the air now, and even fun, as opposed to being stodgy and earthbound the way it was.

Consumer Alert!

Excellent products, prices and spectacular service!
