Meanwhile the siren call of so many, so thoroughly conditioned Aspects of ourSelves cannot be ignored, even for a moment…

Gracefully accepting all of this catapults us into a new level of perception and understanding that just cannot be denied… “Who’s yo mamma?!”

Commentary inspired by

Kris: Psychology of Consciousness Class Eight – August 31, 2010

I am an individualized particle, part and parcel of ATI, and I express holonically, holographically, and to an exquisite exactitude, the same qualities of consciousness that ATI does. Only limited to my own perceptually unlimited ocean of potentiality continually being manifest on our behalf by the Paramatma in our hearts – everything in proper accordance of course, with our conscious and unconscious desires…

This gives us but a glimpse at the perspective of ATI. Everywhere It looks around Itself intricate, multi-dimensional worlds effortlessly and automatically manifest to fulfill Its every fantasy and desire… Indeed any quiver of Its consciousness is instantaneously manifested as entire worlds within worlds of endlessly tiny and more and more refined little infinities… [that would be us!]

At the same time, we are ATI in the sense that we embody Its qualities and are eternally linked to It in an ever evolving relationship. Who’s to say which side of this dual identity is the bestest at any given moment?

If you are eternal part and parcel of something… it can become a moot point as to who is Whom… it becomes a chicken and egg thing… Or even, ‘Who’s your Mamma!’

Nevertheless, this merely obscures for a time the obvious difference between our local consciousness and the vast consciousness of ATI. [If you own one of those ‘boxes in the sky’ called condos, it can be a bit silly to start boasting about feelings of ‘land ownership’ with some cowboy-millionaire who runs a few hundred square miles of Texas or Saskatchewan.]

But you know what? I’m pretty sure, just anecdotally, that I usually act as though I do not create even the universe that YCYOR dogma has been saying for decades we DO create… namely the Universe we perceive around ourselves and within ourselves with our various senses…

Okay, so it makes sense to say that I create THIS experience of THIS universe with my perceptions… but even accepting this idea is beyond my passionately physical, visceral belief structures to really feel authentically… and consequentially project into my experience…

So to imagine for even a moment that I am the Supreme Author of all realities, of all beings in all the universes… Well that’s going to be a stretch, even comical, especially after several glasses of lovely wine…

But what I’m getting from Kris and Sohars and PA’h [the ParamAtma in the heart] is that as I relax into my beingness as part and parcel of the Supreme, my own proper and correct duties and understandings as the proprietor of all this – my very own local consciousness – becomes clear and it’s easy to discriminate… And meanwhile we are all becoming more and more congruent with the primal attitude and intentions of our new buddy, ATI as expressed as the PA’h… Yo yo yo…

And we ALL benefit big time when this kind of understanding begins to develop within and amongst ourSelves… It’s a win, win, win, [onward to infinity] situation.

- – - – -

We experience our reality as ‘really, really big!’ because ATI experiences It’s reality as ‘really, really big!’

We experience the absolute joy in giving of ourselves selflessly… because ATI has given Itself to us in just this selfless way…

We love the pleasure and excitement of happy surprises, sudden insights, and unexpected opportunity for all these same reasons…

The Pleasure Principle has never required any form of proof… This primal premiss of human life, indeed of all life, is always taken, often without awareness or discussion, as ‘a given’… ‘We all gravitate towards pleasure… So there!’

And the greatest pleasure always come from giving something meaningfull, perhaps unexpectedly, or in a moment of great need… The effervescent joy of giving freely something valued, needed and appreciated. Such a vibrant multi-dimensional source of joy can never be touched by any mundane indulgence of the merely physical senses…

[not that there’s anything wrong with that! woo hoo!]

Hi Gang

-

I read this amazing book first when I was a student at the University of Toronto back in ‘72.

-

I met some Hare Krishnas on Yonge Street, south of Dundas, and got chatting with them. They gave me a free copy of their book… “Bhagavad Gita - As It Is”, authored by their leader, Srila Prabhupada…

-

I remember reading it right through, eventually just skimming the commentaries and focusing on the actual Sanskrit verses… I remember loving the verses about how the Soul is eternal and cannot get wet or cold or die.

-

Also loved the verses about Arjuna seeing the Universal Form of the Lord… Very spine tingling stuff, not to say inspiring of reverential feelings…

•••

That was 35 years ago, and we are now reading the Gita again these last several months… And, as suggested by Kris, it is a revelation!

-

What back then was just a curiously grand story full of wondrous, almost mathematically structured imagery, turns out now to be the simplest and most straightforward description of the real issues and dynamics facing each of us in this dimension of consciousness… [indeed all dimensions one presumes...;]

-

So this is like the ‘User’s Manual for Being Human’ that we forgot about a long time ago… and now we have suddenly found it again… [just in time as it turns out, for those who enjoy a nice drama... :-]
